Jhansi : The prisoners of Jhansi jail are also making their small contribution in the divine and grand Prayag Mahakumbh- 2025. A lot of soft toys made by prisoners are being sold in the fair organized at Sangam. Soft toys made by prisoners lodged in the district jail are in great demand in Prayagraj. The first consignment of teddy bears sent from here for Mahakumbh has been sold out, while the demand for 100 more teddy bears has come. Now the prisoners have once again started working hard to complete it. Now Prayag Mahakumbh- 2025 has also started, hence the jail administration is also expecting big sales.

On the orders of the Yogi government, stalls of every product have been set up in the Maha Kumbh Mela under “One District – One Product” in 20 districts of the state. A stall of selected teddy bears has been set up for District Jail Jhansi. From here, the jail personnel went to Prayag Mahakumbh fair with many teddy bears. Senior Jail Superintendent Vinod Kumar told Local 18 that the teddy bears of Jhansi jail are being liked very much in Prayagraj, all the teddy bears sent there have been sold and a demand for 100 more teddy bears has been sent from there. Senior Jail Superintendent said that the prisoners are being made skilled inside the jail, so that they can easily support their families after being released from jail. And leave the wrong path and follow the right path. Regarding this, many programs are being run inside the jail, prisoners are being taught work as per their interest. This also includes the work of making teddy bears. Soft toys are being made rapidly inside the jail. While the prisoners are becoming proficient in making soft toys, they are being given an incentive allowance of Rs 40 to 80 per day.
